A Winnipeg Jets game experience is about more than just watching hockey. It’s the sound of the crowd, the speed of the action, and the thrill of cheering alongside fans in the heart of Manitoba. On October 13, 2026, I attended a Jets home game against the Minnesota Wild at Canada Life Centre in downtown Winnipeg.
What made the evening extra special was an invitation to watch from Suite 32. The Jets finished with an exciting 5–2 victory, and I left with a wonderful memory of a true Winnipeg hockey night. Here is what the experience was like, along with practical tips for planning your own visit.

Arriving at Canada Life Centre in Downtown Winnipeg
Canada Life Centre is located at 300 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. On a Jets game night, the surrounding streets are full of fans wearing jerseys and team colours. Even before entering the venue, you can feel the anticipation building.
The downtown location makes it easy to combine a game with a restaurant visit or an overnight stay. I recommend giving yourself extra time to get there, pass through security, and enjoy the atmosphere before puck drop.

Watching the Winnipeg Jets Game from Suite 32
One of the most memorable parts of my Winnipeg Jets game experience was being invited by a good friend to watch the game with her family from Suite 32 at Canada Life Centre. It was such a thoughtful invitation, and sharing the excitement of a live NHL hockey game with them made the evening even more special. Compared with regular seating, a private suite offers a different way to experience the game: enjoying time together while still feeling the energy of the arena.
I enjoyed following the action on the ice, watching the scoreboard and hearing the crowd respond to every big play. Even from a suite, the excitement of a live NHL game is unmistakable.

Important suite tip: Food and beverages were not included with my invitation. If you’re considering a suite or premium experience, always confirm which amenities, catering options and services are included with your particular package.
The Atmosphere at a Live NHL Hockey Game
A hockey night at Canada Life Centre has its own rhythm. The music, scoreboard presentations, in-game entertainment and crowd participation make the evening entertaining even between periods.
The best moments are when the home crowd reacts together. When Winnipeg scores, the arena comes alive. That’s one reason a live game feels so different from watching hockey at home.

Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild: October 13, 2026
The game itself delivered plenty of excitement. Winnipeg and Minnesota were tied 2–2 after the first period. The Jets moved ahead in the second and added two more goals in the third for a final score of Winnipeg Jets 5, Minnesota Wild 2.
Cole Perfetti scored twice for Winnipeg. Mark Scheifele contributed a goal and two assists, while Kyle Connor and Cole Koepke also found the net. Kirill Kaprizov scored both goals for Minnesota.
Watching the players’ speed and the crowd’s reactions made the game special for me, and seeing the home team win was a fitting finish to the evening.

How Much Does It Cost to Watch a Winnipeg Jets Game?
The cost of a Winnipeg Jets game experience depends on the opponent, the seating area, when you book and the type of package you choose. A regular ticket, a lower-bowl seat and a private suite can have very different prices. I don’t want to quote a fixed amount because ticket prices and availability change.
As well as your seat, plan for any food and drinks, parking or transportation, and optional team merchandise. If you’re choosing a premium suite, ask what’s included before paying.
You can compare current games, prices and seating options through the official Winnipeg Jets tickets page.
Tips for Your First Winnipeg Jets Game
- Choose your game and seats in advance. Compare your options to find a ticket that suits your budget.

- Check the venue’s current bag and photography rules. Policies can change.
- Keep your mobile ticket ready. Have it accessible before reaching the entrance.
- Budget beyond the ticket. Refreshments, transportation and souvenirs may add to the cost.
- Enjoy the full experience. The crowd, scoreboard and entertainment are all part of a hockey night in Winnipeg.
